F.A.Q.s & Tips for Finding a Quality DJ
1. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY DJ?
IT'S BEST TO BOOK A DJ WITH A DEPOSIT AND A CONTRACT AT LEAST 6 MONTHS TO A YEAR IN ADVANCE. BUT, THERE'S NO TIME BETTER THEN NOW.
2. WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING PROCESS?
FIRST WE GO OVER THE DETAILS OF YOUR PARTICULAR EVENT(EVERY EVENT IS DIFFERENT), THEN ONCE WE HAVE THE DETAILS AND PRICING CONFIRMED WE GET A SIGNED CONTRACT WITH A DEPOSIT. AFTER WHICH, I GIVE YOU PLANNER SHEETS(WHICH ARE NEEDED BACK 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT) TO LAY OUT YOU WHOLE NIGHT. THIS IS THE ENTIRE PROCESS UNLESS YOU HAVE QUESTIONS AFTERWARD. FOLLOW-UP MEETINGS ARE AVAILABLE AT NO COST IF NEEDED.
3. WHAT TYPES OF MUSIC AND ATTIRE WILL THE DJ HAVE AT THE EVENT? AND DO YOU TAKE REQUESTS?
THE MUSIC IS TAILORED TO YOUR PERSONAL PREFERENCES(AS SELECTED ON THE PLANNER SHEETS). WITH HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF SONGS, MOST REQUESTS ARE AVAILABLE. AS FAR AS ATTIRE, WE COME DRESSED APPROPRIATELY FOR THE TYPE OF EVENT(ALSO A SELECTION AVAILABLE ON THE PLANNER SHEETS).
4. DO YOU CHARGE FOR SET-UP/BREAK-DOWN TIME?
NO, WE ONLY CHARGE FOR HOURS OF PERFORMANCE.
5. DO YOU TRAVEL? WHAT ARE THE CHARGES?
TRAVEL COSTS IN THE MILWAUKEE AREA(AND SURROUNDING AREAS) ARE INCLUDED IN PRICING. TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF THE AREA IS AVAILABLE AND PRICING IS DIFFERENT FOR DIFFERENT EVENTS, AMOUNT OF TRAVEL, AND PACKAGES.
6. WILL THE DJ STAY LONGER?
YES, FOR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE, IF TIME IS AVAILABLE. IT IS PREFERRED THAT EXTRA TIME IS REQUESTED BEFORE THE START OF THE EVENT, BUT NOT REQUIRED.
7. DO YOU TAKE BREAKS?
NO. YOUR MUSIC WILL NOT STOP. FROM THE TIME WE START UNTIL THE END OF THE EVENT, WE PLAY ALL THE WAY THROUGH.
8. DO WE HAVE TO TIP THE DJ?
NO, YOU DON'T. IT IS CUSTOMARY TO TIP 5-15% FOR A GOOD PERFORMANCE, BUT DEFINITELY NOT REQUIRED.
9. CAN YOU PERFORM WHERE THERE'S NO POWER?
YES, IF INFORMED PRIOR TO THE EVENT DATE WE CAN PERFORM WITH THE USE OF A GENERATOR.
10. WILL THE DJ DRINK AT THE EVENT?
NO, WE WORK WITH A CLEAR MIND, SO YOUR EVENT IS ALL THAT WE'RE FOCUSED ON
11. DO WE HAVE TO FEED THE DJ?
THAT IS TOTALLY UP TO YOUR DISCRETION. NOT A REQUIREMENT.
12. WILL THERE BE A WIRELESS MIC FOR TOASTS?
YES.
13. WHY SHOULD WE BOOK WITH P.M.P. ENTERTAINMENT & WEDDINGS?
WITH OVER 27 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, I AM MORE THEN QUALIFIED FOR JUST ABOUT ANY EVENT. I HAVE A WIDE SELECTION OF MUSIC, QUALITY EQUIPMENT, AND A LOVE FOR DJING AND SEEING THAT I MADE A GOOD DAY INTO A GREAT DAY.
IF YOU DECIDE THAT P.M.P. IS NOT YOUR BEST OPTION, MAKE SURE THAT THE COMPANY WHO FULLFILLS THIS OBLIGATION HAS THE ABILITY TO ACOMPLISH ALL THE ABOVE DEEDS THAT YOU NEED. DON'T SETTLE FOR LOWER QUALITY JUST FOR A "CHEAPER" PRICE. CALL US AT (888) 959-2451
